Compost Tea is an amazing foliar feeder. Here’s our recipe for making your own:
- Liquid Organic Molasses (not the same as the syrup)
- Worm Castings or Bat Guano (1/4 cup dissolved in a gallon of water). You can let it “cook” in the sun for a few days outside before adding to the tea. Shake well before measuring and mixing in the tea.
- Liquid seaweed
- Liquid fish
Recipe: In a gallon jar or jug (milk or water jugs work well), mix one tablespoon of liquid seaweed, one tablespoon of liquid fish, 1/4 cup of molasses, 1 cup of worm casting or bat guano mixture. Shake mixture well in gallon jug or in watering can.
Pour on both leaves and soil as the leaves will be fed as well as the soil. This works very well on fruit and vegetable gardens.
Of course, if you’d prefer we have Compost Tea available to purchase!
